WMCCL round 1 Redditch

Race report from supported rider Toby Barnes

The first round of the West Midlands cyclocross league was held at Abbey stadium, Redditch. It was very similar to last year with lots of corners, off-camber banks, logs and a few fast straights. It was really dry, even after some rain on Saturday, so was going to be a really fast race. As I moved up to under 23 this season I was gridded on the 2nd row. National MTB XC series, round 5, Builth Wells- 4th place

Race report from supported rider Marcus Holmes

With a few course changes to last year, the course became more technical but still had the hard climbs! The new technical section was a long rock garden but it was covered in moss so it was slippery, it didn’t dry out over the weekend, but the lines became easier to find as the moss wore away. European Youth Tour of Assen

Race report from supported rider Matthew Kingston.

This six stage race was in the north of Holland and was my first time racing abroad.
Prologue-It was a 1.7km circuit through some woods. It was also technical with some tight corners near the end and also some cobbles. I came 8th, which was 1st Brit, with a time of 1 minute 31 seconds, 3 seconds behind the winner.

Stage 2-36km Criterium

This consisted of 7 corners, 4 of them being very . . . → To Read More Click : European Youth Tour of Assen
