Lewis Crowned National Champion and Club take Team Title

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This weekend the national cyclocross championships were held in Abergevenny finalising the cyclocross season. Blustery conditions, tricky corners, plenty of off camber embankments and getting on and off the bike was encountered for all riders.

Lewis Askey led several phenomenal performances from Lichfield City Cycling club. Round 5 Cyclocross National Trophy, Peel Park, Bradford

Round five of the National Trophy was at the iconic venue of Peel Park in Bradford. Lewis Askey , Emile  Alexander, Marcus Holmes and Daniel Barnes made the trip north to face the best riders in the nation, in the under fourteen category.

R11 Mallory Park WMCCL Lichfield Riders shine at West Midlands champs

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

More success this week for the Lichfield youth riders at the penultimate round of the West Midlands cyclocross league.  Round 11 included the inaugural BWA West Midlands Cyclo Cross League Championships and was held at the well-known race track Mallory Park, a cold and frosty morning greeted riders.

Four Riders in Top Ten at National Trophy – Milton Keynes

 The British Cycling National Trophy Cyclo-cross Series took on an international feel for round four in Milton Keynes this weekend. With the event coinciding with the UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup, the presence of some of the sport’s top stars including multi world champion Sven Nys from Belgium participating in the event on the Saturday. The youths watched this awesome race with thousands of spectators and were privileged in using the same course the following day.
