Cyclocross coaching sessions will commence this Thursday 30th August at the Lichfield Rugby Union Football Club and will be held weekly throughout the CX season. As the club has floodlights, sessions will start at 6.30pm prompt and finish at approx 8.00pm.
We are limited by available coaches so the sessions will be primarily aimed at U14 and below; however all ages are welcome subject to numbers.
Sessions are currently available to club members only (first and second claim) but this may be reviewed if numbers are low.
There will be a charge of £2 a rider or £5 per family as we need to cover the costs payable to the Rugby Club. We will have use of the club facilities, including the bar, and ask that all respect those facilities.
Coaching is aimed at riders who are competent on a bike but not necessarily off-road. If you have a doubt as to your / your rider’s standard please contact the club coaches. Riders must have a suitable CX / Mountain bike and wear appropriate kit for the conditions which last year included snow.
A few rules – please bear in mind we are guests of the Rugby Club.
Please park sensibly at the bottom end of the car park adjacent to the grandstand and allow time to register and pay. There is a tarmac section behind the grandstand which can be used for rollers if required as the car park is well used with the Rugby Club members. No riding in the car park and on the grass strip adjacent to the car park, or on the rugby pitches at the request of the Rugby Club. Riders not to ride the course whilst it is being set up.
