Cyclocross floodlit coaching sessions will commence next Tuesday 17th September at the Lichfield Rugby Union Football Club and will be held weekly throughout the CX season.  Sessions will start at 6.30pm prompt and finish at approx 8.00pm.

Coaching is aimed at intermediate/advanced level but riders new to CX, who are competent on a bike, are welcome. If you have a doubt as to your / your rider’s standard please contact the club coaches via the below email address.  Riders must have a suitable CX / Mountain bike and wear appropriate kit for the conditions.  No age limits but younger riders must be competent on a bike – to give you an idea last season we had an age range of 7 to 50ish, male and female.

Sessions are open to non-members but if we hit coaching number limits then club members (first and second claim) will take preference.

There will be a charge of £2 a rider (£4 non-members) with discounts for families – we need to cover the costs payable to the Rugby Club. We will have use of the club facilities, including toilets and the bar, and ask that all respect those facilities.

Riders under 16 please bring a completed consent form to your first session

Queries/questions to

A few rules – please bear in mind we are guests of the Rugby Club.

Please park at the bottom end of the car park adjacent to the grandstand and allow time to register and pay. There is a floodlit tarmac section behind the grandstand which can be used for rollers if required as the car park is well used with the Rugby Club members. No riding in the car park and on the grass strip adjacent to the car park, or on the rugby pitches at the request of the Rugby Club. Riders not to ride the course whilst it is being set up.

Front lights will be required once the clocks change – for the coaches to see you!

It takes the best part of an hour to set up – anyone who can spare time to assist will be welcome.
