Cycling BackgroundTook up cycling after lack of financial resources resulted in having to give up on her first sport of show jumping where she rode against the likes of Robert Smith at the Horse of the Year show. Was introduced to cycling and Time Trialling with the Walsall Roads CC by her father and finished 2nd in the National Time Trial circuit series in 1995. Her husband introduced her to track with her second time on a track bike being a ride in the National Track champs. Started as a schoolboy many years ago with some success and as a junior had some success as third in Divisional Road Race on hilly course around Malvern rode for 2 years as a 1st Cat senior and then after a lay off came back to ride track and road,

Best success was Gold medal in VCRA 20k National champs. Rode at National level on track at sprint and Team Puursuit, and at 100km National Team Time Trial where best result was 8th place still competing (but not so well) on track road and cross and still picking up some LVRC medals
